Life at Arnold Bloch Leibler
Life at ABL is busy, dynamic and challenging. The firm has high expectations for its employees, so it is only right that they are provided with benefits and support to help keep the balance between work and life outside the office.
There's a vibrant social scene with a wine club, staff drinks, sporting and social functions, as well as a range of wellness initiatives. The firm's involvement in some of the most important and interesting matters, and ongoing professional development, also make the firm a stimulating place to work.
Caroline Goulden
Partner, Melbourne
“Lawyers are trusted to get our job done exceptionally well, in a way that suits the client, but also in a way that suits whatever else is going on in our lives."
Gavin Hammerschlag
Partner, Sydney
“You get the opportunity to work with some of the best legal practitioners on some of the most important transactions in the country.”
Lauri Burke
HR Manager, Melbourne
"What I really like about ABL is that you don’t feel like a cog in the machine. My experience of the environment is that it’s flexible, non-bureaucratic and that the firm embraces the individual."
Rob Deev
Senior Associate, Melbourne
"I had no hesitation in accepting ABL's grad offer over those from larger firms. The combination of the people, work and level of responsibility made the decision a no-brainer."

Legal staff
At Arnold Bloch Leibler we relish our exposure to a wide range of interesting and challenging matters that enable our lawyers to draw on their expertise and intellectual potential. We encourage them to bring their whole selves to work each day, recognising that diversity of thought, background and life experience all contribute to our distinctive culture and the solutions we deliver to our clients.
We position ourselves as the lawyers to go to when everything is on the line, where strategic imperatives are critical, and when commercial thinking that’s out of the box is required. The people we hire are the best and brightest, who want the most challenging, complex work in the market. Corporate services
We are able to provide award-winning service and results to our clients thanks to the support of our corporate services staff, who are essential to the smooth running of the firm. Our corporate services teams include: secretaries, finance, information technology, marketing & business development, office services and human resources.
Just like our legal teams, our corporate services departments are small and dynamic, allowing our people to work on interesting and challenging activities with a commitment to excellence and innovation. This allows our people to grow, and we are proud of the fact that many of our corporate services staff have long tenures, having progressed their careers at the firm. At ABL, we are committed to supporting the continuing professional development of our corporate services employees so that their careers continue to excel.
