ABL recognised at 2020 TMA Australia awards

Arnold Bloch Leibler advised on two deals that were recognised at the prestigious Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Australia’s annual awards.

The TMA Awards program recognises the industry’s professional achievements by showcasing individuals who have assisted in the recovery or recapitalisation of a struggling business.

Turnaround deal of the year: Central Adelaide Local Health Network

Mark Mentha and Chris Martin led the team at KordaMentha on the financial, operational and cultural review and transformation of Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), South Australia’s public healthcare network. Our workplace and advisory team, Bridget Little, Rachel Soh and Sophia Charles advised on the employment and industrial aspects arising from this turnaround, including in relation to organisational restructuring, disputes and workplace reform.

Restructuring deal of the year: Axsesstoday

Glen Kanevsky, Vaughan Strawbridge and Sal Algeri led the team at Deloitte in the administration of SME lender, Axsesstoday. Our cross-practice team included Leon Zwier, Genevieve Sexton and Jason van Grieken who worked with the administrators on the restructure and $260m sale of Axsesstoday to an affiliate of private equity firm, Cerberus Capital Management.

The awards were announced at TMA's 2020 virtual conference on 1 December 2020.
