Ongoing advice for the Just Group in copyright and trade mark disputes. The Just Group (owned by ASX listed Premier Investments) is a retail conglomerate that operates major retail brands including Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Smiggle, Dotti and Peter Alexander and employs over 6,500 people.

Probiotec Limited

Advised Probiotec, a leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of a diverse, high quality range of prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals and complementary medicines on their intellectual property rights.

Seek Limited

Advising Seek Limited (and its subsidiary Job Seeker Pty Ltd) in relation to IP compliance and investigations.

TPI Enterprises

Acted for TPI in a patent dispute related to a variety of patents concerning biotechnology and associated research and development. TPI is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of licit opiates, such as morphine and codeine.

Greenpeace Australia Pacific

Advising Greenpeace Australia Pacific (part of Greenpeace, a major global campaigning organisation, and licensee of the Greenpeace trademark in Australia) in relation to the unauthorised use of the name “Greenpeace” by other parties.

Beyond International Limited

Acted for Beyond International, one of the world’s leading independent media organisations, in relation to a dispute with one of the world’s largest production companies, Endemol Group BV, regarding the naming of a new on-line digital venture.

Smiggle Pty Ltd

Acted for Smiggle, one of Australia’s fastest growing retail businesses, in relation to its allegations of copyright infringement by Officeworks. Our team successfully resolved the matter for the client.
