About Michael

Michael Repse is a senior associate in the firm’s property & development practice. He advises on front-end construction law, and has acted on a range of residential, commercial, retail, industrial and mixed-use developments throughout Australia.

Michael's clients include both public and private clients, encompassing major Australian and international property developers, financial and educational institutions, professional consultants and pro-bono clients.

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws with honours from the Deakin University in 2014 and was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in 2016.

Michael's practice focuses on the following areas:

  • construction and project management, including the preparation and negotiation of construction and consultancy documentation and providing strategic advice, and
  • due diligence in respect of project finance transactions.

  • World Class Land: in relation to the ‘Australian 108’ development for the construction of a 100-storey mixed-use residential tower at 70 Southbank Boulevard, Southbank
  • Hamton Hostplus: in relation to the $2 billion redevelopment of Moonee Valley Racecourse
  • 3L Alliance: in relation to stage one of the $1 billion ‘Queens Place’ development for the construction of an 80-storey mixed-use residential tower at 350 Queen Street, Melbourne
  • MAB Corporation: in relation to the ‘Escala’ development for the construction of a 20-storey mixed-use tower at 375-381 Docklands Drive, Docklands
  • Riverlee: in relation to the ‘Seafarers’ development for the construction of a mixed-use waterfront precinct, residential apartments and a hotel at 731 Flinders Street, Docklands
  • SP Setia Bhd: in relation to:
    • the ‘Sapphire by the Gardens’ development for the construction of two towers including the Shangri-La Hotel, at 308 Exhibition Street, Melbourne, and
    • the ‘UNO Melbourne’ development for the construction of a 65-storey residential tower at 111 A'Beckett Street, Melbourne
  • Aurumland: in relation to the ‘Aspire Melbourne’ development for the construction of a 64-storey residential tower at 299 King Street, Melbourne
  • Beulah International: in relation to the ‘Paragon’ development for the construction of 227 apartments across 48-storeys at 320 Queen Street, Melbourne
  • Growland Group: in relation the ‘Victoria Square’ development for the construction of 1048 apartments across 6 towers at 8 Hopkins Street, Footscray

  • Sydney Swans Football Club: in relation to the redevelopment of Sydney’s iconic Royal Hall of Industries
  • Steadfast Capital: in relation to the redevelopment of ‘The Walk Arcade’ in Melbourne’s CBD
  • TasPorts: in relation to the redevelopment of the Burney Port wharf facilities
  • Charter Hall Group: in relation to the development of two automated customer fulfilment centres for the Coles Group in Melbourne and Sydney
  • Salta Properties: in relation to:
    • the development of 459 Church Street, Richmond, via a joint venture with Abacus, for the construction of a 14-storey commercial office project, and
    • various commercial office and industrial warehousing developments throughout Salta's extensive property portfolio
