About Megan

Megan is a Senior Associate in the firm’s commercial team in Sydney, specialising in both private and public M&A, capital markets and corporate governance.

Megan advises a diverse range of commercial clients, including ASX listed and private companies and high net worth investors.

Megan’s transactional experience spans complex, high-value deals involving ASX listed entities to smaller, strategic acquisitions. She is regularly engaged on mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, shareholder activism, and governance issues across a range of industries. Megan is known for offering commercially minded advice in dynamic and high-stakes environments.

Megan joined Arnold Bloch Leibler in 2021 after being admitted to practice in 2018. She holds a Juris Doctor with Honours from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of New South Wales. Before commencing her legal career, Megan worked in the not-for-profit sector as a social worker, bringing a grounded, client-focused perspective to her legal practice.

  • Teneo: on its acquisition of PwC Australia’s restructuring division
  • Charter Hall (ASX:CQR): in relation to its $760 million off-market takeover of ASX listed Hotel Property Investments Group (ASX:HPI)
  • See-Saw Films, award-winning film and television production powerhouse (see “Slow Horses”, “The King’s Speech” and “Lion”): in relation to its sale of 51% majority stake to French media conglomerate Mediawan S.A.
  • Chargrill Charlie's: in relation to its sale to Craveable Brands
  • SEEK Group: in relation to the separation of its investment business from its core operating recruitment and job search business, and the creation of the new $1.7b SEEK Growth Fund
  • Oxanda Education: in relation to its milestone sale of 12 childcare centres to Affinity Education
  • Coverforce: in relation to its $411.5m sale to ASX-listed general insurance business, Steadfast Group
  • Centennial Property Group: in relation to its investment in, and successful partial exit from, childcare centre business Edge Early Learning
  • Cromwell Property Group (ASX:CMW): in relation to its planned demerger and IPO of an externally managed ASX-listed office A-REIT
  • Acting for private equity and venture capital firms in relation to investments, fund establishment and structuring
  • Acting for early venture companies in relation to stakeholder agreements, subscriptions and capital raisings

  • Betr (ASX:BBT): in relation to its successful $130 million capital raising, comprised of a fully underwritten placement and ANREO
  • SEEK Group: in relation to the establishment of $1.7b SEEK Growth Fund
  • Cromwell Property Group (ASX:CMW): in relation to its planned demerger and IPO of an externally managed ASX-listed office A-REIT
  • Thorney Technologies (ASX:TEK): in relation to its $25.3 million capital raising
