Arnold Bloch Leibler has acted as Australian legal counsel for UK and Australian based See-Saw Films on its sale of a majority 51% stake to French media conglomerate Mediawan S.A., a leading European audiovisual international production and distribution group.
UK and Australian-based production company See-Saw Films is renowned for its critically acclaimed film and television productions, boasting 5 Oscars, 13 Emmys, 5 Golden Globes and 15 BAFTAs. Its successes include hit TV shows “Slow Horses” (Apple TV), “Apple Cider Vinegar” (Netflix) and acclaimed, award-winning films including “One Life”, “The King’s Speech” and “Lion”.
This deal marks a significant milestone for See-Saw Films, and fuels See-Saw’s ambitious next stage of growth, having enjoyed a record period of creative and commercial success over the last three years with a string of hit global TV shows.
The deal also further strengthens Mediawan’s portfolio, which already includes significant partnerships and acquisitions, such as Brad Pitt’s Plan B and The SpringHill Company (founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter).
