ABL acts on Melbourne’s Hotel Lindrum sale

Arnold Bloch Leibler has acted for TMG Developments on the sale of one of Melbourne’s most recognised buildings – the Hotel Lindrum – to real estate developer Time and Place.

As reported in the Australian Financial Review, the property has a planning permit for a 30-level mixed use development and is anticipated to become one of Melbourne’s major revitalisation projects for 2022.

Property & Development partner Gia Cari, who advised on the deal with senior associate Grace Cho, commented: “We congratulate both TMG Developments and Time and Place on this milestone transaction, which will see the rejuvenation of a historically significant property in the heart of Melbourne. “

On 30 June 2026, Justice Black rejected the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)’s case against the former non-executive director and deputy chairman of Regional Express Holdings Limited (Rex), the Hon. John Sharp AM, finding that ASIC had failed to establish that he had breached his statutory duty of care and diligence. ASIC’s claims against the other two non-executive directors were likewise not established.
