Arnold Bloch Leibler lawyers contributed 12,878 hours of pro bono public interest law work in FY26, averaging 75.2 hours per lawyer, more than double the Australian Pro Bono Centre’s voluntary target of 35 hours.

The result features in the Centre’s 19th Annual Performance Report of the National Pro Bono Target, which records the contribution of signatories to pro bono legal work across Australia.

Behind those figures are lawyers across the firm, using their skills to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, environmental and cultural causes, diversity and equality, and in particular Jewish people confronting antisemitism in Australia, through our work on the royal commission. Public interest law has long been part of how ABL serves the community, and this year’s result reflects the commitment across the firm to that work.

ABL public interest law partner Peter Seidel acknowledged the collective effort: “Congratulations once again to all Arnold Bloch Leibler partners and each and every ABL staff member for contributing, directly and indirectly, to this truly inspiring result.”
