Arnold Bloch Leibler has acted as Australian legal counsel to global leader in sports technology solutions, Catapult Group International Ltd (ASX:CAT), on its strategic acquisition of Perch (Catalyft Labs, Inc.). This acquisition further strengthens Catapult's Performance & Health (P&H) vertical, expanding its comprehensive offerings in the elite sports market.
Perch is renowned for its next-generation athlete monitoring system for gym environments. Utilising advanced computer vision and AI, Perch provides real-time, automatic tracking of athlete strength training, empowering coaches and athletes with precise data and insights to optimize performance and achieve better results.
This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Catapult, enabling the integration of performance data across both on-field and off-field environments. By combining Perch's cutting-edge camera-based systems and deep strength training analytics with Catapult's existing solutions, Catapult is set to deliver the most comprehensive and versatile performance tracking solutions in the market.
The ABL team advising Catapult was led by partner Jeremy Lanzer, with support from lawyers Kaitie Boyd and Michael Fisher. ABL collaborated with US law firm Goodwin Procter LLP on this transaction.
