About Zavara
Zavara Farquhar is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution & Litigation practice in Sydney.
Zavara has acted for individuals and private and public companies in a range of commercial disputes, corporate insolvencies and regulatory investigations.
Before joining Arnold Bloch Leibler, Zavara was an associate in the litigation and disputes team at a leading commercial law firm in New Zealand.
Zavara holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland. She has completed further study in financial markets regulation.

Experience
Zavara has acted for individuals, private companies and public companies in a wide range of complex matters, including for:
- an ASX-listed company in proceedings commenced by ASIC in the Federal Court for alleged contraventions of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth);
- a private company in a dispute concerning a tail fee following a $300 million sale;
- a private company in relation to multi-layer insurance coverage advice;
- former directors in litigation concerning mining royalties;
- administrators of Booktopia Ltd, in relation to general administration issues including administrators’ liability; and
- administrators of related companies providing technology services to government and large private corporate clients.
Prior to joining Arnold Bloch Leibler, Zavara acted for financial institutions, overseas companies, and individuals in a range of matters including regulatory investigations and enforcement actions, shareholder disputes, and applications seeking urgent interim relief.
