About Prianca
Prianca Maharaj is a senior associate in the firm's commercial and private clients practices. She has a diverse practice, providing legal and strategic advice to Australia's wealthiest individuals, entrepreneurs and family groups.
Prianca works closely with accountants to effectively bridge the gap between accounting and legal terminology to deliver strategic results for clients. Her experience includes commercial transactions, family business, succession planning, restructuring and tax.
Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Prianca was admitted to practice in Queensland in 2017 and began her legal career in at a prominent accounting firm, before joining the tax team at a prominent law firm.
Prianca holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland. Prianca has also completed her Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting.

- BGH Capital: in relation to the establishment of Horizon Nexus Partners, a leading accounting and advisory firm.
- Charter Hall Long WALE REIT and Hostplus: in relation to their $1.68 billion cash and scrip buyout proposal of one of Australia’s biggest freehold pub property owners, ALE Property Group
- Australian Way Pty Ltd (AWPL): in relation to its joint venture with Lagardère Travel Retail Retail, one of the world’s largest travel retail merchants, resulting in over 150 airport retail stores (including duty free, food services, travel essentials and specialty retail) and over 850 staff across Australia and New Zealand being brought together
- View Media Group: in relation to its acquisition of proptech firm The Today Business, as part of its expansion to build out its property portfolio to push into the $300 billion real estate transactional market.
