Ahead of the referendum that will take place later this year, the ABL Indigenous Solidarity Network hosted a Q&A session last week for Arnold Bloch Leibler staff.
Following an introduction by AISN co-chair Julia Heyward, senior partner Mark Leibler and public interest partner Peter Seidel responded to questions fielded by fellow co-chair Annie Ward-Ambler submitted by attendees ahead of time.
Mark and Peter explained the background and implications of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice and addressed common misconceptions. They spoke about what Arnold Bloch Leibler has learned over more than 30 years of working alongside Indigenous clients and how this has inspired our strong commitment to advocating for a constitutionally enshrined Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice, as proposed in the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
The event was well attended in both the Melbourne and Sydney offices, and was catered by Mabu Mabu and Kallico Catering.
