The awards program is run by Lawyers Weekly, in partnership with the University of NSW.
The head of Arnold Bloch Leibler's corporate & commercial practice, Melbourne-based Partner Jonathan Wenig, congratulated the team on being shortlisted: "Over the last 12 months, Arnold Bloch Leibler's multi-disciplinary commercial team has worked collaboratively on iconic, history-making matters, including cross-border matters, where lawyers at all levels have shown courage, pushed the envelope and/or broken new ground".
Notable matters for the group include acting for Nufarm on its agreement to acquire a portfolio of European crop protection products from Adama Agricultural Solutions and Syngenta Crop Protection for US$490 million, and advising administrators KordaMentha in all aspects of the historic sale of Arrium, finalised in July 2017.
