The partners of Arnold Bloch Leibler are devastated by the antisemitic terrorist attack at Bondi Beach on Sunday, where members of the Jewish community celebrating Hanukkah were murdered and many more injured.
We stand in solidarity with the victims and their families and with the Australian Jewish community, who are grieving and traumatised.
We acknowledge the courage and commitment of police and other first responders, and appreciate the support and empathy expressed by Australians of all backgrounds.
But sympathy is not enough. Antisemitism escalates when it is excused, normalised and tolerated.
We call on political, business and civic leaders to defeat this evil with urgency, resolve and unity of purpose to protect the Australian way of life.
