Specialising in high-volume commercial and retail leasing, Ora-Tali regularly drafts, reviews and negotiates documentation in relation to her clients’ significant national leasing portfolios, including agreements for lease, leases, deeds of renewal and variation, deeds of assignment and terminations of lease.
Her client base extends to high-net-worth individuals and family groups, national and international corporations, GBEs, not-for-profits, public and private retailers, investors, financiers, developers, contractors, institutional landlords and large corporate tenants.
Ora-Tali’s professional legal experience includes 9 years practising leasing law at a leading national law firm before joining the firm.

Leasing
Prior to joining ABL, Ora-Tali acted for:
- Commonwealth Bank of Australia: Drafting reviewing and negotiating all documentation in relation to Commonwealth Bank’s significant national ATM and branch leasing portfolio
- Woolworths Group: Similarly, managing the leasing documentation for Woolworths centres in Victoria, NSW and WA
- Collingwood Football Club: Preparing numerous subleases for community organisations, on a pro bono basis, at the Club’s Victoria Park premises which involved coordinating multiple parties including Yarra City Council, and
- Ericsson Australia Pty Ltd on behalf of NBN Co and Optus Mobile: in the review, negotiation and registration of leases of sites throughout Australia to establish the infrastructure required to facilitate the fixed radio (wireless) component of the National Broadband Network.
Business and real estate sales and purchases
Prior to joining ABL, Ora-Tali acted for:
- SPG Investments Pty Ltd: Independently coordinating the settlement of multi-million dollar disposal of a large format retail centre in NSW
- Spotlight Pty Ltd: Coordinating and conducting due diligence on a proposed acquisition of a national discount variety retailer, and
- Child-care operators, restaurateurs and entertainment providers: Advising on and negotiating the terms of acquisitions of businesses throughout Victoria.
Public interest and social impact
Prior to joining ABL, Ora-Tali acted for:
- Meals with Impact: in relation to various leasing matters, and
- Mission Australia: Reviewing and updating their precedent documentation and in relation to various leasing matters.
