Arnold Bloch Leibler tax partner Clint Harding has taken out the top honour in The Tax Institute’s Community Achievement Awards 2023.
Celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, The Tax Institute recognised members from across the country who represent “the peak of professional excellence and collaboration”. In awarding Clint the Community Champion Award, The Institute noted his extensive contribution over 18 years as a member, and more recently chair, of its Large Business and International Technical Committee, as well as his membership of the Law Council Tax Committee and the Law Council’s representative on ATO’s National Tax Liaison Group.
Congratulating Clint and other award recipients, the President of The Tax Institute, Marg Marshall, said: “When you work in tax, collaborating with colleagues, sharing ideas and being part of a knowledgeable community is such an important part of doing your best work and building your career.”
Accepting the Award at a gala dinner in Melbourne, Clint said that The Tax Institute offered an ideal opportunity for him to demonstrate his passion about good tax law and administration. “Passion is the key,” he said. “If you are going to excel as a tax practitioner you have to be passionate about tax.”
