Nairm Marr Djambana

Nairm Marr Djambana Inc

Since its establishment in 2016, Nairm Marr Djambana has taken significant steps to realise the dreams of Elders by working with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to understand its needs and aspirations.

With self-determination at the heart of what the organisation does, Nairm Marr Djambana delivers services, programs and activities to the Aboriginal community in Frankston and surrounds.

Through its community-led approach, this small organisation has already succeeded in having a commercial kitchen installed from where it has been running a catering business and, most recently, establishing a clinical consultation room.

Arnold Bloch Leibler has provided pro bono advice to Nairm Marr Djambana, including helping the organisation to become a registered charity and obtain deductible gift recipient status, as well as advising the Board on governance issues.

“It is important to our organisation to align with partners and stakeholders who align with our values. When seeking the assistance of a law firm, we felt Arnold Bloch Leibler were the best fit, particularly with their past proven history of working with other Indigenous organisations and groups.”
