Yamatji Marlpa Aboriginal Corporation (YMAC) is the native title representative body for Western Australia’s Pilbara, Mid-West and Gascoyne regions. As a not-for-profit organisation run by an Aboriginal Board of Directors, it provides services including claim representation, heritage protection services, executive office, community and economic development and natural resource management.
YMAC has a representative area equivalent to approximately one third of WA and has worked with Traditional Owner groups - all with their own language, culture and traditions – over the last 25 years to achieve over 30 native title determinations.
For more than 20 of those years, Arnold Bloch Leibler has been a proud partner of YMAC, providing strategic advice in relation to complex government reviews.
“Arnold Bloch Leibler has generously and consistently given legal and strategic advice, becoming integral to our success on a pro bono basis. The firm is a genuine leader, mentoring YMAC staff and assisting us to complete many critical tasks and its assistance has had a fundamental impact on outcomes for Traditional Owners.”
