Arnold Bloch Leibler has acted for SkyBus in successfully negotiating a new agreement with Public Transport Victoria for its bus services to Melbourne (Tullamarine) and Avalon airports.

With an express 24/7 transit service, SkyBus carries more than 3 million passengers from Melbourne Airport to the CBD annually. The new long-term contract will provide more flexibility and expands services particularly in Melbourne’s growing outer suburbs. This includes a new Werribee-to-Melbourne Airport service commencing in July 2018.

The transaction was led for SkyBus by Partner Matthew Lees and Lawyers Luke Jedynak and Jessica Spring, with assistance from across the firm.

Minister for Public Transport Jacinta Allan said in the Victorian Government’s official announcement: “We’ve delivered a new contract that will modernise, expand and upgrade Melbourne’s airport bus services to deliver more services to passengers.”

Matthew Lees commented on the new deal: “We are delighted to have represented SkyBus in negotiating with the government to achieve this outcome.
