In the area of trade practices, Matthew deals with matters such as price fixing, market sharing and misleading or deceptive conduct. He acts for companies being investigated or prosecuted by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and in private trade practices litigation. He also advises clients on trade practices issues arising from mergers, acquisitions and other commercial agreements, and assists clients to develop their own internal trade practices compliance programme.
