Nicole Gordon practises in taxation law, with a particular emphasis on commercial and employment related taxation issues. Nicole has extensive knowledge of the taxation aspects of employee share schemes, executive contracts, independent contractor relationships and remuneration issues. Nicole also advises on various commercial taxation issues including income tax, capital gains tax, GST, payroll tax, and tax structuring and planning. She advises major employers, high-net-worth private individuals and family groups on a range of tax issues and liaises regularly with the Australian Tax Office, seeking private rulings and determinations.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours from the University of Queensland. She was awarded a University Medal in Law in recognition of her academic achievements and has received a total of nine law prizes throughout her university career, including the prestigious Clarke & Kann Prize in Taxation Law in 1994. Admitted to practice in Queensland in 1997, Nicole joined Arnold Bloch Leibler as a senior associate in 2001 and was appointed to the partnership in 2006.
