Ross Paterson practises in commercial, corporate and taxation law, principally advising private clients. His major areas of work involve mergers and acquisitions and, in particular, business and company acquisitions and sales, and joint ventures.

In addition, combining his commercial, corporate and taxation practices, Ross offers strategic business succession, wealth management and estate planning advice to a broad spectrum of clients, from small to medium business owners to some of Australia's wealthiest individuals and family groups. Ross exploits his extensive knowledge and experience in corporations law, trust law and direct and indirect tax law to protect business and estate assets, and to ensure that appropriate mechanisms are in place to meet family succession and wealth management objectives.

Ross graduated from the University of Melbourne with an honours degree in law and a degree in commerce with an accounting major. He joined Arnold Bloch Leibler in 1982 and became a partner in 1990.
